The sleepy town of Elephant Butte, New Mexico, was unexpectedly thrown into a media circus in 1999 when it was discovered that one of their own—a respectable, award-winning, hardworking, old man—had been torturing, raping, and murdering women for decades. He called his homemade torture chamber the "Toy Box."
When the news got out, it seemed like it couldn't get any more disturbing and horrific. That is, until authorities realized that one of Ray's accomplices was his thirty-two-year-old daughter, Jesse.
The short format of this book serves to prioritize veracity and provide accurate details and timelines regarding the case of the Toy Box Killer.
David Parker Ray & Accomplices removes the exaggerations, rumors, and unnecessary "fluff" that often prevails throughout the true crime genre.
