Harold Warp was born near Minden, Nebraska, a few years after the turn of the century. Both of his parents had come to this country from Nor-way. He was brought up under the primitive conditions that were common on Nebraska farms in the early 1900's, and his formal education ended with high school. Both he and his brother, however, were mechanically minded, and became skilled in fashioning homemade gadgets. While still in his early twenties he discovered a formula for making a plastic that was later given the trade name of Flex-O-Glass. He marketed it successfully. Later he developed other plastic products, all now in wide commercial demands. As president of Flex-O-Glass, Inc., the mother company, he employs approximately two hundred people. After he became successful in business, Mr. Warp, who has always had a deep, sentimental near done i birthplace Mid the hahis days blestin of twenty buildings, nearly all original and in use at the time he writes about in his book. The buildings house more than 20,000 historical items, from small wooden kitchen utensils to real locomotives of different eras.
